Hyundai Santa Fe Maintenance Schedule

If you're a new owner of a Santa Fe crossover, you're probably looking forward to many miles of adventures ahead at Cape May County's beaches, around Cumberland and Salem counties, and beyond. But when can you expect to bring in your Santa Fe for its first maintenance visit?

That's where Action Hyundai of Millville's Hyundai Santa Fe maintenance schedule comes in handy! Whether you misplaced your owner's manual or just want a digital version to cruise through, our maintenance schedule based on Hyundai's recommendations lists the information you need broken up by mileage.

Performing these checks, changes, and replacements will keep your Santa Fe running its best for the long haul! Check out which maintenance items your Hyundai is due for next using the guide below.

Maintenance Group A: At and Every 7,500 Miles

Under normal driving conditions,* your Santa Fe's first maintenance milestone will take place once your odometer reaches 7,500 miles. During this initial maintenance run, you'll need to take your Santa Fe to a Hyundai certified center and have the following maintenance items taken care of:

  • Oil change and filter replacement (keeps your Santa Fe's engine happy!)
  • Tire rotation (ensures even tread wear and extends the life of your tire set)
  • Battery condition and vacuum hose inspection

These core services need to be addressed with each maintenance visit, so you'll definitely see them again!

Maintenance Group B: At and Every 15,000 Miles

You've driven your Santa Fe SUV well into the double digits. That means it's time for your second oil change, tire rotation, and battery and hose check. You'll also need to get your vehicle's climate control air filter replaced. Additionally, the following vehicle parts should be inspected for wear and condition:

  • All brake components, including discs/pads, calipers, hoses, and lines
  • Drive shafts and boots
  • Exhaust pipe and muffler
  • Steering gear box, linkage, boots, and ball joints
  • Suspension mounting bolts

The easiest way to get all of these items taken care of is to have a certified Hyundai service center perform a multi-point inspection.

Future Santa Fe Maintenance

Following the pattern listed above, alternating between A and B, you'll have the same maintenance items performed as listed under maintenance item set A (oil and filter replacement, tire rotation, battery and hose inspection) at 22,500 miles, 37,500 miles, and 52,500 miles.

The same maintenance items performed under the 15,000-mile marker list (maintenance items set B) will be repeated at 30,000 miles, 45,000 miles, and 60,000 miles, with the addition of fuel filter, lines, hoses, and connections assessed at 30,000 miles and parking brake and brake fluid checked at 60,000 miles.

*Hyundai defines severe driving conditions as driving in dusty or salt spread conditions, making frequent short trips of 10 miles or less, or driving in extended periods of stop-and-go traffic daily. Under severe operating conditions, you may need to change your Santa Fe's oil and filter and rotate tires as soon as 3,750 miles.
